Volkswagen has officially unveiled the 2009 Scirocco which is bound to have a wide appeal. It is an affordable vehicle with high-end technologies. This car is a definate head-turner and you have the option of 6-speed manual gearbox and the choice between a petrol and diesel engine.

The Scirocco GT has a 200PS 2.0 litre TSI engine and has either 6-speed manual or automated DSG transmissions. The GT can go from 0 to 62mph in 7.2 seconds. It has a top speed of 146mph. The fuel economy is 37.2 mpg and CO2 emissions of 179g/km.
The interior is designed for comfort and stlye and comes with sport seats, front centre armrest and a dust and pollen filter. It has brushed aluminum instrument surrounds with white instrument lighting.
The Scirroco has many built-in safety features as standard, including Anti-lock Braking System, driver's and front passenger airbags, curtain airbag system and front seat side airbags. It also comes standard with ESP and adjustable three point seatbelts.
This re-born Scirroco was first seen at the 2008 Geneva Motor show. The first ever model was shown in 1973. The Scirroco had two doors and 4 seats and it showed strong sales between 1974 and 1981. Then Volkswagen gave the car a facelift and it was produced up until 1993 when VW replaced it with the Corrado.
The Scirroco is a sporty and stylish vehicle and can seat four people comfortably. The rear seats can be folded down to increase boot space. This vehicle also has "Dynamic Drive Control" adjustable suspension as standard across the range: electronically controlled dampers allow the driver three drive settings, from Comfort to Sport.
There are two trim levels available; the first one includes 17in alloys and the other will feature 18in alloys. The other options included in these packages are panoramic sunroof, touch screen satellite navigation and leather upholstery.
The all new Scirroco has been billed as the Wolfsburg-based carmaker's most dynamic and technologically advanced production coupe ever. Sporty and practical, VW intends this new version to help redefine the look of the traditional "family car".
