My dealer says the cover online isn't as good as theirs and I will have problems if I need to claim!

The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is the independent regulator set up by Government to look after the financial services industry and protect consumers. The FCA regulates firms providing financial and insurance services to consumers and maintains the integrity of the UK’s financial markets. Our website and consultants must comply with the FOS requirement to provide accurate information.

Our policy terms must be fair and delivered in a way that is truthful and clear. If a policy holder expresses dissatisfaction, we must record and report this to the FCA and ensure complaints are handled in accordance with the procedures required by the FCA.

Your Policy is also protected by the Financial Services compensation Scheme (FSCS). The FSCS was set up as the UK's statutory compensation scheme for customers of authorised financial services firms. This means that the FSCS provides compensation if a company ceases trading and is unable, or likely to be unable, to pay claims against it.

If you feel we haven't provided the service you expected, we do of course value the opportunity to put things right straight away. However, if you remain unhappy with our response or decision, you are entitled to complain to the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). If this happens, we will immediately be required to make a payment, whether or not they uphold your complaint. Their decision is final and we must abide by it. This means that a Government Authority has the final say - not a company employee.
