New Mini Cooper Convertible
The new Mini Cooper Convertible is longer, wider and lighter than its predecessors.
The new version is more fuel efficient and lower in CO2 emissions. This new range of Mini Cooper Convertible has a variety of features including the use of the 1.6 litre direct injection petrol engine. Air conditioning is now a standard option and many of the option packs have been enhanced and upgraded. There are also more individual options to choose from and an expanded list of body and hood colours.
The new Mini Cooper has an improved electrical canvas roof design and new wheel designs. Inside you will find new upholsteries, new switch clusters, a slightly increased luggage capacity and a lockable glove box.
Even though the high performance engines are more fuel efficient and have a CO2 limiting system they are still fun to drive and still are strong performers. The body structure has been strengthened to reduce body or scuttle shake. The standard Dynamic Stability Control helps to keep drivers safe.
There are two new colours available exclusively to the new Mini Cooper Convertible; Interchange Yellow and Horizon Blue. There are 12 colour options, and three contrasting roof options available which are Black, Denim Blue and Hot Chocolate. Another attractive option is the 17 inch rims in Black Star Bullet design which is exclusive to the new Mini Cooper Convertible.
The Mini Cooper automatic canvas roof can be fully retracted or closed using the mounted toggle in under 15 seconds. If you are caught unexpectedly by a sudden downpour the auto roof will operate fully with the car going at speeds up to 20mph. The electric roof can be retracted to approximately 40 centimetres to create the effect of a sunroof. This function can be operated at speeds up to 75mph. One of the options available is a wind deflector which is located behind the front seats and moves up quickly and easily in one simple operation.
The Mini Cooper Convertible has great agility and has a superb grip. This is a fun, sporty car to drive. The Cooper S has the most responsive engine due to its turbocharger that will boost power up to 175mph. Overall the Mini Cooper is a greatly improved product, with better engines, more fuel efficient, and emits less CO2 than its predecessor.
